These terms cover Tripyy: the app at app.tripyy.in and the expense calculator on tripyy.in. By using either, you agree to them. What we do with your data is in the app privacy and site privacy pages.

The short version

• Tripyy is free. It keeps your group's chat, bills and photos in one place and works out who owes whom.
• Tripyy never holds or sends money. You pay each other in your own UPI app.
• Check the sums and AI drafts before you pay. They can be wrong.
• What you add is yours. Don't add anything you don't have the right to share.
• It's an early product. It may change, and it may sometimes be down.

Who can use Tripyy

• You must be 18 or over.
• The app needs a Google account. Use your own, and keep your sign-in to yourself. What happens under your account is on you.
• The calculator needs no account.

Price

Tripyy is free to use. If we ever add paid features, we'll say so in the app first, and nothing will cost you money unless you choose to pay for it.

Money

• Tripyy is not a bank, a wallet or a payment service. It never holds, sends or receives money for you.
• Pay buttons open your own UPI app with the amount filled in. The payment is between you, the person you pay, and your bank or UPI app.
• "I've paid" and settle-up entries are notes the group keeps. They are not proof of payment. Check with the person before you rely on one.
• A trip's pot is a record of what people put in and spent. Tripyy doesn't hold the pot's money.
• We're not responsible for payments between members, or for disputes about who owes what.

Sums, AI and other information

• We work hard to get splits and balances right, but check them before you pay.
• AI reads messages into draft bills and answers @tripyy questions. A draft only counts once someone confirms it, so read it first. AI answers can be wrong.
• Weather warnings, places nearby and place names come from outside sources and can be wrong or late. Don't rely on them for your safety.

What you add

• You own your messages, bills, photos and everything else you add. You let us store them, show them to the people on your trip or anyone you send a link to, and process them as the privacy pages describe, only to run Tripyy.
• Only add photos and details you have the right to share. That includes other people's names, UPI ids and phone numbers: add them only for the trip you're sharing with them.
• Anyone with a trip's invite, breakdown or calculator link can see what that link shows. Share links only with your group.

Organisers

Whoever starts a trip, and anyone they make an organiser, can approve and remove members, remove messages and photos, and change the trip. The trip's owner can delete it, which deletes it for everyone on it. Organisers, please use this fairly.

Don't

• Post anything illegal, or anything that harasses, threatens or exposes other people.
• Add sexual content involving anyone under 18, or intimate images of anyone without their consent.
• Use Tripyy to spam, scam or impersonate anyone.
• Try to break into Tripyy or other people's trips, get around its limits, or overload it with automated requests.
• Copy or resell the service.

If you see something on Tripyy that breaks these rules, write to our grievance officer, Tushar Jain, at tushar@tripyy.in. We may remove content or close accounts that break them, and we'll act on valid orders from Indian courts and authorities.

Leaving

You can stop using Tripyy at any time. To delete your account, go to Settings, then Delete my account. You have 30 days to change your mind by signing in again. After that, trips you run pass to a co-organiser or the person who joined first, and a trip nobody else has joined is deleted. The app privacy page explains what is erased and what stays on shared trips.

The service

• Tripyy is provided as it is. We'll try to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.
• Keep your own record of anything important, like who paid for what.
• We may change or remove features. If we ever shut Tripyy down, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before.

Liability

As far as the law allows, Tripyy isn't liable for indirect losses, for money paid or not paid between members, or for anything caused by wrong sums, AI drafts, weather or place information, or the service being down. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Indian consumer law.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute goes to the courts of India.

Changes and questions
